I had 2 D&C's and 2 cryo-ablation procedures (the uteairn wall is frozen in an effort to slow down or stop menstruation.) 6 months after the last set of procedures I began having terrible abdominal and lower back pain. 2 trips to the ER, 2 CT scans, a doctor appointment and finally a simple ultrasound diagnosed the problem. Scar tissue from all those procedures closed off my uterus and when my body decided it was that time of the month, everything got trapped, causing the pain. As soon as doctors determined that was the cause I was rushed to surgery to have my uterus punctured to release the pressure. I was later scheduled for a hysterectomy.
