Unfortunately, the vast majority of your coins and notes are only worth face value if they have any wear on them at all. There is one vaeirty of the 1973 Canadian quarter that is worth quite a bit of money, known as the "large bust" vaeirty. The easiest way to tell if that's what you've got is to look at the little beads around the rim on the front of the coin. If they look like they're basically touching the rim, it's the large bust vaeirty. If you can see space between the beads and the rim, it's the more common "small bust" version.A large bust 1973, if it's worn about the same amount as the average coin you see in change, would probably bring $75 or so if you sold it to a dealer. The American $2 you have is probably a 1976 there were no 1978 dated bill made in the US.Most of the 1973 $1 Canadian notes are worth a slight amount over face value (typically less than a dollar or so), but there are some that are worth quite a bit more, depending on the prefix at the beginning of the beginning of the serial number and the condition. The valuable ones would have one of the following prefixes:*AB*FH*MD*OLAXAEXAvalue of those notes if you sold them to a dealer, and if they're worn about like the "average" note you find in circulation, run from around $15 to several hundred, depending on which one you have exactly.
